Paul studied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde before joining BASF developing high performance pigments for their speciality chemicals division. As part of his role, he helped establish a centre of excellence for high performance pigments. Paul then joined Chemco International as Head of Research to help them further develop their protective industrial and marine coatings range. In 2015 he joined Scottish Enterprise to work with the Innovation Specialist Team.
Throughout his professional career Paul has always had a strong passion for innovation and has had the opportunity to help deliver innovation practices in every role he has occupied. The Scottish Enterprise Innovation Team, over the last three years, has helped more than 120 companies to develop a strategic approach to innovation. This approach has helped companies increase their turnover, reduced their costs and allowed them to sustainably grow by giving them access to tools and methodologies used by world renowned industry experts and a clear Innovation Roadmap for the next 3-5 years.
