Appointed in August 2020 as Chief Executive Officer of NMIS, John is tasked with leading the growth and development of the world-leading group of industry-led manufacturing research and development facilities at the heart of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District Scotland.
In 2019, he successfully led the creation of the Michelin-Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) in Dundee as CEO, which focused on sustainable transport and low-carbon energy. John was also one of the original members of the independent advisory body, the Fair Work Convention, and is currently a member of the Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board and a Director of the Centre for Engineering Education and Development.
