Research Director at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), Professor Chris Dungey blends academic achievement with significant strategic and operational experience across world leading industrial, academic and research and technology organisations.
Joining NMIS in early 2020, Chris was previously at TWI and Lancaster University where he was the Director of the Joining 4.0 Innovation Centre (J4IC). Focused on creating innovative digital manufacturing solutions and connecting industrial research needs with world leading research offerings, here Chris also developed and secured large scale research project initiatives. Before this, he was firmly embedded within the world of manufacturing, working across team and technology leadership roles within Rolls-Royce, Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) and GKN.
