There is no sector of the market in any area of the world untouched by agriculture. It is the literal ‘bread and butter’ that remains foundational to world economies. Corporate supply chains rely on natural resources to source key commodities that are essential to global economies and food systems.
Unsustainable practices are impacting food insecurity, poverty, land degradation and climate change. COP26 and the Paris agreement both highlighted that a sustainable, equitable, and resilient global economy will not be possible without driving large-scale changes in the way our food and agricultural commodities are produced and sourced.
In this session we will hear from SMEs leveraging digital tech and innovation – from space-tech and blockchain to drones to AI – to address these harsh realities whilst supporting the ESG agenda across industries (from businesses to governments) and reshaping food industries for a fair transition.
